Thanks to all who joined us for a beautiful fall at Pinehaven Farm! We are now closed for the season. Opening day for 2025 is September 13th!

Meet the Farmers

Pinehaven Farm originally started as a Christmas Tree Farm in the early 1950s by John and Barb Hastings. They sold cut-your-own trees, precut trees, wreaths, and Christmas Decorations for nearly 65 years. The Hastings Family, now consisting of John and Barbs son, John and his wife Sue and their 5 kids, main focus switched to Fall Family Fun in 1996 and has been growing ever since.

Over the years we have added our educational farm tours in both the spring and fall. The trend of the farm weddings came about when our oldest son used the family farm for the unique venue, which launched a new direction for our family business, weddings and special events throughout the summer. Today, our busiest season is fall when Pinehaven Pumpkin Patch and Harvest Festival are coupled with The Dead End Hayride, a thrilling and scary haunted event. Both events were voted by WCCO as the best in Minnesota and surely will entertain the farm’s guests for years to come.

Continuing with the fall pumpkin patch tradition, we also do school tours from the spring through fall to provide children the opportunity to experience a “Real Farm” and how enjoyable it is! In past generations, children could visit Grandma and Grandpa’s farm for an unforgettable experience, however today it’s rare for a child to have this background. We feel very privileged to contribute to the special memories of the many children who visit each year.

When you think about your families fall traditions whether it’s spending an entire day out in the country enjoying the colors and activities of the fall season or picking your perfect pumpkin to make a jack O lantern, or going on a haunted hayride we hope you’ll bring out your family to meet our family and continue to make special memories that will last a lifetime.

We have proudly operated our family farm since 1950. Our pumpkin patch is located 30 minutes North of the Twin Cities, conveniently right off I35 in Wyoming, Minnesota. Our goal is to provide a wholesome, entertaining, and educational farm experience for families young and old alike.
